PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION IS OPEN SPOTS AVAILABLE IN OUR 2's, 3's & 4's CLASSES
The goal of the two year old program is to prepare the child for the three year old class by providing a structured program that fosters the beginning of sharing, socialization and separation. Children may choose to play in various centers throughout the classroom. Art activities are introduced to the children as well as participating in group activities. Children begin to work on self-help skills such as toileting, putting away toys and cleaning up after snack. Toilet training is not required for this class.
The overall goal of the three year old curriculum is to help the child learn to become a participating member of a group. The children are taught social skills such as sharing, good listening, following directions and taking turns. Children are taught how to use language to enter into play situations, solve problems, communicate their needs and negotiate with their classmates. Children choose to play in various centers throughout the classroom such as art tables, blocks and dramatic play. The children begin to work on self-help skills such as toileting, putting away toys, and cleaning up after snack. Children spend time playing outdoors or indoors daily.
The overall goal of the four year curriculum is to prepare the child socially, emotionally and intellectually for Kindergarten, to develop the child's self-esteem, to foster a sense of competence and help the child develop a love of learning. We also strive to help each child develop healthy and strong emotional and social attitudes in relation to separation from their parents, group participation, sharing and taking turns. Our program focuses on early language and literacy development, pre-writing, math and science. Art activities focus on each child's creative expression. Children have daily opportunities to develop fine motor skills through drawing, crafts, painting and manipulating many different small objects. Children spend time everyday on our fenced outdoor playground that is specially designed to promote all aspects of good physical development. On rainy days we have a large indoor playroom available. Children develop self-help skills throughout the day by choosing and directing many of their activities, dressing and undressing themselves, putting away their materials and toys and cleaning up their snack tables.
We offer a summer of exciting exploration through hands-on activities, and themed events,
