Happy New Year: Welcome Back!!! We hope all our SCP families had a joyous and blessed holiday and we wish our families a very happy and healthy New Year!!!!!
Holiday Gift Show and Tell: The children will have an opportunity to bring in one special item they received for the holidays for show and tell on Monday, January 6th for the 2x3, 3x3, 3x5, 4x3 and 4x5 classes and Tuesday, January 7th for the 2x2 and 3x2 classes. Let’s get comfy and cozy for show and tell day- the children may wear their favorite PJ’s to school!
School Closings: School will be closed on Monday, January 1-3rd for the Christmas break, Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Wednesday, January 29th for Lunar New Year.
Registration for the 2025/2026 school year: Starting January 6th registration forms will be accepted for current/alumni preschool families. Current and alumni SCP families will have until January 13th registration priority. Class offerings, tuition rates, the registration application and the health form are available on the website to download and print. Applications should be filled out completely and must be accompanied by the registration fee, a completed health form and current immunization record.
Open registration will begin on January 14th at which time registration will be open to the public.
Families that are interested in a tour of the school can make an appointment by going to the preschool’s website. Open registration will take place in-house on Tuesday, January 14th 5-7pm.
Black and White – Penguin Day: January 20th is National Penguin Day. We will be having fun with the colors black and white and learning more about the cold weather animal, the penguin. Black and White Color fun day will be on Tuesday, January 21st for the 2x2, 3x2 and 4x5 classes and on Wednesday January 22nd for the 2x3, 3x3, 3x5, 4x3 classes. Students can wear black and white to school on their assigned Black and White color fun day!
Lunar New Year: Gung Hay Fat Choy! Lunar New Year- The Year of the Snake is on Wednesday, January 29th. The SCP students will be learning about Lunar New Year traditions on Monday, January 27th for the 2x3, 3x3, 3x5, 4x3, classes and Tuesday, January 28th for the 2x2, 3x2, 4x5 classes.
Progress Reports: Progress Reports will be sent home on Thursday, January 30th for the 2x2, 3x2 classes and on Friday, January 31st for the 2x3, 3x3, 3x5, 4x3 and 4x5 classes. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress in school or the progress report assessments, please feel free to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
Fundraiser: We are so excited to introduce SCP’s mascot Roar-EE the Lion. Families can purchase their very own Roar-EE to keep at home. Flyers will be sent home to order.
Snow Closings: Just a reminder that the SCP follows the Seaford School District for snow closings. Please check your Brightwheel account, the preschool website and the preschool Facebook page for closings and updates.
